EFFECTIVE 7/23/09 It's a RUFF Life Rescue will NOT be taking in Owner Surrenders from the general public until further notice.
**The only exception is animals previously adopted from our organization.

We are not a turn in shelter, however when we have the space available, we will take in owner surrenders. We take in owner surrenders as a courtesy. We do not have a shelter and are foster home based, therefore we have LIMITED SPACE and cannot always take in your dog with one to two days notice.
We DO take in litters of puppies as well, provided that mom will be spayed.
Your Dog must be:
Current on vaccines
Spayed or Neutered
If not, a donation is requested, but not required; to help us recover some of the cost of vet care your pet will need in order to be adopted. If you are unable to meet these prerequisites, please explain more about your situation on the form, and complete all fields in the rest of the form. |
Please review Surrender Release Form you will be required to complete one at the time of reliquishment.
Dogs with no homes are given foster home priority over owner turn ins. We are extremely disappointed to report that we often do not have enough foster homes as it is for shelter dogs in high risk situations. Since you've taken the first step by contacting us, we know you want to be responsible and will do our best to assist you in any way we can.
If the dog has ever bitten anyone or shows signs of aggression towards people we will not take him/her.
Please complete the Owner Surrender Form and we will process as soon as possible.
